Female Pelvic Ultrasound Scan
A detailed ultrasound examination of the female pelvis which will include the uterus, ovaries and endometrium.
What does the scan involve?
This scan is performed abdominally with a full bladder. You will be required to drink 2 to 3 cups of water approximately 1 hour before your scan appointment. It is sometimes necessary to perform a transvaginal (internal) scan which will show your pelvic anatomy in more detail.
A signed report of our ultrasound findings will be sent to your referring doctor.
As your doctor will have full details of other investigations and blood results we feel they will be best placed to discuss our findings with you.
